PPU 30-30 Winchester 150 Grain Flat Soft Point 20 Rounds

Ran 20 of these thru my Marlin 336 and every spent case was tight in the chamber. The lever could not be worked with the back of my hand. I had to get my palm above it and muscle it to pull the case loose from the chamber. Fired and unfired case diameter measurements showed the PPU to be .003-.004" larger in the rigid unsupported area just above the rim. Upon firing they must fit tighter in the chamber, as also evidenced by heavier abrasion marks from chamber contact. I also had one dud that fired on a second hit, as most do. However, there was no problem with group accuracy.

The good:
Tried these rounds in 150 and 170 grain.
They expand very nicely and retain a high percentage of their weight. Accurate shots at 100yards.
The not so good:
These rounds did not cycle well in a Rossi95r or a Marlin336. The rounds would often jam in the breach after firing. My guess is that these rounds must perform as intended from maybe a Henry or a Winchester or a European made 30-30.
As for Marlins and Rossi rifles I will stick with Winchester and Hornady and play it safe with.
