Range USA Used Gun Terms & Conditions
1. Eligibility & Legal Restrictions
- All firearms submitted for appraisal must be located within the United States.
- RangeUSA.com will not accept submissions from: Alaska, Hawaii, New York, or U.S. territories due to shipping and legal restrictions.
- Items must comply with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Firearms regulated under the National Firearms Act (NFA)/ Class 3 will not be accepted.
- All products submitted for appraisal must have valid and visible serial numbers.
2. Appraisal Process
- Initial quotes provided are estimates and may change upon in-person inspection.
- Once a quote is provided, the customer has 10 days to accept or decline.
- If no response is received, the quote will automatically expire.
- If a customer does not respond to a quote, the appraisal process may be canceled at Range USA’s discretion.
- Once the in-person inspection portion of the appraisal process is complete, the customer will receive a final offer.
3. Final Offer & Acceptance
- Final offers must be accepted or declined within 21 days.
- If a customer does not respond to a final offer, the appraisal process may be canceled at Range USA’s discretion.
- If Range USA is in possession of the firearm, and no response to the final offer is received within 90 days, ownership will be forfeited in accordance with all state and federal laws. A Range USA eGift card will be issued for the final offered value.
- If declined, the firearm must be returned to the customer through a valid FFL dealer of their choice.
- The customer must provide the FFL information for return shipping. Range USA is not responsible for transfer or return fees. If an FFL is not received within 90 days of the final offer, ownership will be forfeited. A Range USA eGift card will be issued for the final offered value.
4. Shipping Requirements
- Upon accepting the initial quote, the customer has 10 days to ship the firearm to Range USA.
- Never send ammunition with the firearm. A $150 handling fee will be charged if there is ammunition in the package upon receipt.
- If a firearm is shipped with ammunition, the $150 handling fee will be deducted from the final offer. If the final offer is not accepted, the customer will receive an invoice to pay the handling fee.
- If the handling fee is not paid within 90 days, ownership will be forfeited, and a Range USA eGift card will be issued for the final offered value.
- If shipping does not occur within the 10-day window, the appraisal process will expire.
- Range USA does not take ownership or assume risk until the item is received at our facility.
- If packaging is requested by the customer, $35 will be deducted from the final offer. If the final offer is not accepted, the customer will receive an invoice to pay the packaging fee.
- If the packaging fee is not paid within 90 days, ownership will be forfeited, and a Range USA eGift card will be issued for the final offered value.
- Shipping timelines are estimates; we are not liable for delays.
5. Preparing Your Firearm for Shipment
- If possible, place the firearm in the original packaging or case. Otherwise, wrap the firearm securely in padding/packing materials.
- All accessories should be wrapped separately in padding/packaging materials.
- All items should be placed in a plain (unmarked) cardboard box, with padding/packaging filling empty space to prevent movement in transit. Do not attach anything other than the shipping label to the box.
- Seal the box with packing tape.
6. Returns & Forfeiture
- If a return is denied, refused, or the FFL dealer is closed, the customer must cover the cost to resend the package.
- If return shipping information is not provided within 90 days of a declined offer, the items will be forfeited, and a Range USA eGift card will be issued for the final offered value.
- Range USA may be unable to return firearms to the following states based on state-specific restrictions: California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Rhode Island, Vermont, Washington, or Washington D.C.

7. Background Checks & Denials
- A 4473-background check is required before the customer can retrieve a returned firearm from the FFL. This will take place at the receiving FFL.
- If declining offer and chose to send back to a Range USA location, we do not transfer on the Delayed status according to Brady Law and require an Approval response from NICS/POC to release a firearm.
- In the event that a firearm in Range USA’s possession cannot be returned to the customer for any reason, payment rectification will be handled through the Customer Experience team on a case-by-case basis.
8. Gift Cards
- Range USA eGift cards do not expire and may be used online or in-store.
- For lost or stolen cards, balance checks, or issues, contact our Help Desk.
- Gift cards will not be able to be cashed out in-store.
9. Package Protection
- All outbound shipments include Package Protection of $100.
- Ownership and liability transfer only once the firearm is received at our facility.
- If an item is lost, stolen, or damaged during return, Range USA may provide a replacement or an eGift card for the final offered value.
- Damage claims must be made within 24 hours of delivery; we may require clear photos of the packaging and firearm, as well as the return of the product to process a refund.
